  • Parish Prayer List

Over the past few months, several of you have noticed that Saint Matthew’s Parish Prayer List has taken on a different tone than I believe is intended for our faith community. In order to provide a safe neutral place for intentional prayer, the Parish Prayer List will be compiled as follows.

    • We will only list individuals rather than groups of people.

    • Individuals will be listed by first name only.

    • If there are multiple people with the same name, the name will be listed only once.

    • Individuals within the same family will be named separately, rather than “Smith family”

    • Clergy and elected officials will not be included as they are prayed for in our weekly Prayers of the People.

    • Please rest assured that your request will be honored for four weeks and refrain from sending the same list of names every week.

    • We will no longer include the list for groups of people that is already offered in the Bishop’s weekly E-pistle newsletter. If you would like to receive that email and prayer list, please sign up here.

You are encouraged to use the Parish Prayer List as a starting point for your daily prayers and personalize your list as desired.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prayerfully engage in this revised process. If you have any questions, please contact me directly.

    Easter blessings,

    Rev. Monica
